I like what you've done with the place

Well, it’s taken me a while to settle on an alternative, but here I am at last on beehiiv, chosen because 1. it’s free and 2. it’s not (so far as I’m aware) enabling fascists. Who would have thought that would be a consideration this late in the day?

If you’re here, it’s because you were a subscriber to my sadly-lost-to-the-gluttonous-whims-of-neoliberalism TinyLetter, and you did not unsubscribe before I exported my subscriber list, which I took as permission to bring you with me. If you missed the message saying that that export was going to happen, and you’re not pleased about it - please do hit unsubscribe. I’m not sure where that is yet, but I imagine I’ll find it soon enough. Once I’ve set up the coffee machine and checked the wifi. [1]

Many exciting things have happened since I last sent out a newsletter, not least an absolutely belting trip to Tallinn, and a really lovely time at the Cymera Festival in Edinburgh. There’s been much podcasting, some good lunches, and I’ve even found time to do some writing. I’ll probably do a little round-up post in the next few days, but in the meantime, I shall draw your attention to the very exciting and imminent arrival of my new Doctor Who novel, Caged, out next week, starring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday.

Are aliens ever abducted by aliens? And if they were, would anyone believe their story…?

More about Doctor Who: Caged can be found here. I had a lark writing it, and I hope you have a lark reading it.
