Books and beyond

It’s a week since my new book came out! Star Trek - Strange New Worlds: Asylum, featuring Una Chin-Riley, Chris Pike, and a whole host of alien cats. Out now from all reputable book sellers, and surely some disreputable ones too.

The good people at the Literary Treks podcast had me on to talk about it, and you can listen to that interview here.

I’m super busy at the moment finishing up writing the fourth book of the year and also knitting a pair of socks. One of these will be finished slightly before the other. (Guess which. Yes.) But I’ve got a few fun events on the horizon.

First up, Tuesday 26th November, 7-8pm, I’ll be taking part in the Cambridge University Libraries’ online book club, The Really Popular Book Club. We’re discussing Douglas’ Adams’ The Hitch-hiker’s Guide, and you can register here. It’s been an excuse to go back and reread Adams after umpty years, and I’ve had a blast. (There are some other great reads coming at the Book Club too.)

Next up, Tuesday 3rd December, 7-8.30pm, I’ll be at Foyle’s, Charing Cross Road, London, chairing a discussion with authors Jeff Noon, Steve Beard and Adrian Tchaikovsky about their upcoming books. More info and booking here; it’s going to be brilliant.

And if that isn’t enough for you, look what’s just been announced by Big Finish! Call Me Master: Inner Demons, the first boxset with Sacha Dhawan as the Master! With a play by me, called ‘The Good Life’. Out February 2025, thank you very much.
